Pythagorean teorem:

c^2 = a^2+b^2

Where c is the hypotenuse and a & b are the two other legs of the triangle.

a.

c^2 = 6^2+8^2

Solve for c:

c^2 = 36+64

c^2 = 100

c =√100

c= 10

b.

c^2 = 0.6^2+ 0.8^2

c^2 = 0.36+ 0.64

c^2 = 1

c = √1

c=1
