a. first, find the slope

Slope intercept form:
y= mx+b
where:
m= slope ( rise / run)
b= y-intercept ( where the line crosses the y axis)
so far we have :
y=1x+b
Y= x+b
Replace (x,y ) by a point from the table and solve for b. use, for example, (4,8)
8 = 4 + b
8-4 = b
4 = b
Equation:
y= x+4
b.
GRaph. we know that the line crosses the y-axis at y=4, and since the slope is 1, for every unit to the right along the x axis, the line goes up by 1 unit.
