3.The endpoints of a segment are (-2,4) and (4, 11). Find the the length of the segmenttothe nearest tenth and then find the coordinates of the midpoint.

1) To find the length of the segment. let's use the distance formula, derived from the Pythagorean Theorem.

Plugging into the formula those points we'll have:


d=\sqrt[]{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2_{}}\text{ }\Rightarrow d\text{ =}\sqrt[]{85}

2) So now, let's find out the Midpoint, by using another Formula

3) Finally, the midpoint of that segment is located at M=(-1, 15/2)
