We have an expression that needs to evaluated at certain values. The expression is given in linear terms that is the output is linearly related with input variable ( x ).

y\text{ = m}\cdot x\text{ + b}

Here,

m\text{ and b are defining constants of a linear expression}

We are to evalute the above linear expression for the following values:

\begin{gathered} m\text{ = 8} \\ b\text{ = 4} \\ x\text{ = 3} \end{gathered}

By evaluating an expression we mean that we utilize the expression relating these constants ( m and b ) and variable ( x ) using substitution of respective values given to us.

We will substitute each value given into the expression defined as follows:

\begin{gathered} y\text{ = (8)}\cdot(3)\text{ + 4} \\ y\text{ = 24 + 4} \\ \textcolor{#FF7968}{y=}\text{\textcolor{#FF7968}{ 28}} \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer of the question would be:

\textcolor{#FF7968}{28}
