Given the function:


f(x)=2|x-1|

The parent function is y = |x|

So, the transformations required to get f(x) will be as follows:

1) shift 1 unit right, som the function will be:


|x-1|

2) vertically stretched with a factor = 2

so, the function will be:


2|x-1|

the graph of the function f(x) and its parent function will be as follows:

As shown in the figure:

The red dashed graph represents the parent function y = |x|

and the blue graph represents the function f(x) = 2|x-1|
