How do you expand:

4( x + 3)

4(x - 5)

2(x + 2)

4(1 - c)

Explanation:

hello,

you just need to multiply all values inside the brackets with the value outside the bracket and then work it out as normal.

for instance,

a) 4( x + 3)

= 4x + 12

here you can see i multiplied both values by 4.

b) 4(x - 5)

= 4x - 20

c)2(x + 2)

= 2x + 4

d) 4(1 - c)

= 4 - 4c
