in this question, we have to put the values of x and y in the given expression.

so we have

x = 2 & y = -3

the expression is

5x²+ 4xy -17

now put the values,

5(2)^2+4*2*(-3)-17
\begin{gathered} 5*4+(-24)-17 \\ 20-24-17=-21 \end{gathered}

So the answer is -21.
