The formula for the area of the circle is as follows


A=\pi\cdot r^2

replacing:


\begin{gathered} A=(3.14)\cdot(3(1)/(4))^2 \\ A=33.17 \end{gathered}

Therefore the area of the circle is 33.17 square yards.
