Step 1

The volume of a cone is given as;

V=(\pi r^2h)/(3)

where;

\begin{gathered} r=(diameter)/(2)=(12)/(2)=6cm \\ h=14.4cm \end{gathered}

Step 2

Find the volume of the cone to the nearest hundredth.

\begin{gathered} V=(\pi(6^2)(14.4))/(3) \\ V=(2^2*3^2*\: 14.4\pi)/(3) \\ V=2^2*\: 3*\: 14.4\pi \\ V=2^2*43.2\pi \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} V=542.8672105cm^3 \\ V\approx542.87cm^3 \end{gathered}

Answer; The volume of the cone to the nearest hundredth=542.87cm³
