We are asked to solve the following subtraction:

\mleft(4b^2-8b+11\mright)-\mleft(-2b^2-4b+5\mright)

First we will change the sign inside the second parenthesis:

\mleft(4b^2-8b+11\mright)+\mleft(2b^2+4b-5\mright)

Now we will associate like terms:

(4b^2+2b^2)+(-8b+4b)+(11-5)

Now we add the associated terms;:

6b^2-4b+6

And thus we get the answer.
