A right triangle is formed, where the length of the ramp (10 m) is the hypotenuse, and the height (h) of the ramp is the opposite side to the angle of 15°.

From defintion:


\sin (angle)=\frac{\text{opposite side}}{hypotenuse}

Substituting with data:


\begin{gathered} \sin (15)=(h)/(10) \\ \sin (15)\cdot10=h \\ 2.6\text{ m =h} \end{gathered}

The ramp is 2.6 meters tall
