To reduce fracions follow these steps:

1. Find a number that can divide both numerator and denominator, for the first fraction 2/4, it can be 2

2. Divide top and bottom by that number (2), then we get:

2÷2 / 4÷2 = 1 / 2

3. Repeat from step 1 until there is no number, greater than 1, that can divide the top and the bottom, in this case, there is not such number.

Then when reduced, the first traction 2/4 we get : 1
