When there is an excess of cholesterol in the circulation, it can get stuck in the arteries and cause sedimentation and that will lead to atherosclerosis, which consists of the cholesterol transporting proteins, and some other substances such as calcium. that makes the blood flux slower and could lead to a bigger problem as a heart attack.
