In the diagram, we give the coordinates as follows

(0,-6) where 0 is x(1) and -6 is y(1)

Also,(3,3) where 3 is x(2) and 3 is y(2)

The slope of a line (m) can be solved with the formula below:

\begin{gathered} \text{slope(m)}=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ \end{gathered}

We then insert the coordinates into the formula

\begin{gathered} m=(3-(-6))/(3-0) \\ m=(3+6)/(3) \\ m=(9)/(3) \\ m=3 \end{gathered}

Therefore the slope of the line is 3.

Note: m and the slope are the same.
