given the data

P(A) = 0.90

P(A and B) = 0.54

P(B) = ?

recall, they are independent events

P(A and B) = P(A) x P(B)

0.54 = 0.9 x P(B)

divide both sides by 0.9

P(B) = 0.54/0.9

P(B) = 0.60

therefore, P(B) = 0.60 rounded to two decimal places
