\begin{gathered} y=2x-12 \\ y=-3x+18 \end{gathered}

we can replace the value of y from one equation to another

this time I want to replace the first value of Y in the second equation

then

(2x-12)=-3x+18

we will put the values accompanied with x on one side and the numbers on the other side

2x+3x=18+12

do the operations

5x=30

solve for x dividing 5 on both sides

x=(30)/(5)=6

the value of x is 6, now I can replace x on any of the principal equations

I am replacing on the second

\begin{gathered} y=-3x+18 \\ y=-3(6)+18 \\ y=-18+18 \\ y=0 \end{gathered}

the vaku
