1. We need to justify why line segment B'C' is on the same line as BC (correspondent sides of those triangles).

We know that the center of dilation is D. And D lies on the line CD. Therefore, any point on that line, after a dilation, will also lie on that line.

Since both points B and C lie on line CD, so will their correspondend points after the dilation.
