remember that when we are dividing expressions with exponents, we have to use the following rule:

(a^n)/(a^m)=a^(n-m)

In this case,we have the following expression:

(-9x^(-1)y^(-4))/(-15x^5y^(-3))

then, using the rule for the division of exponents, we have:

(-9x^(-1)y^(-4))/(-15x^5y^(-3))=(-9)/(-15)x^(-1-5)y^(-4-(-3))=(3)/(5)x^(-6)y^(-4+3)=(3)/(5)x^(-6)y^(-1)

therefore, the equivalent expression is 3/5 x^(-6) y^(-1)
