The vertex and the x-intercepts of the quadratic function g(x)=x^2+4x-12

The quadratic function g(x)=x^2+4x-12 is a parabola y = ax^2+bx+c

To find the vertex of a parabola you can use the expression,

Vertex (x,y) = (-b/(4a), (-b^2/ 4a)+c )

x= -b/4a

y= (- (b^2)/ 4a)+c

Replacing

Vertex (x,y) = (2, -16)

The X intercept x= 0; y = -12

So then, the vertex is (2, -16), and the x-intercept (0, 12)
