To find the proability we need to remember the product rule of proabbility that states that:


P(A\cap B)=P(A)P(B)

in this case event A is "getting head" and event B is "getting tail"; we know that each of this events have a proability of 1/2, then:


P(A\cap B)=(1)/(2)\cdot(1)/(2)=(1)/(4)

Therefore the probability we are looking for is 1/4.
