f(x) = 2x + 3

f is a linear function, with a slope of 2 and a y intercept of 3

first step would be to draw a point at (0,3)

next go up 2 right 1 to (1,5) and draw a point

and just go like that

it should look like that

the zero is -1.5

algebraically

y = 2x + 3

0 = 2x + 3

-3 = 2x

-1.5 = x
