Step 1

State the formula for the area(A) of a trapezoid

A=\lbrack\frac{(length\text{ of base a }+length\text{ of base b)}}{2}\text{\rbrack}* height\text{ of trapezoid(h)}

Where,

\begin{gathered} \text{base a=}2m \\ \text{base b= 6m} \\ A=16m^2 \end{gathered}

Step 2

Find the height of the trapezoid

16=((2+6)/(2))* h
\begin{gathered} 16(2)=((2+6)/(2))2h \\ 32=8h \\ (8h)/(8)=(32)/(8) \\ h=4\text{meters} \end{gathered}

Hence the height of the trapezoid = 4 meters
