Given the toolkit function, f(x) = |x|, write a new equation, g(x), that would represent a transformation to the left 2 units.g(x) = |x| + 2g(x) = |x + 2|g(x) = |x| - 2g(x) = |x - 2|

The horizontal translation in a given equation is given by suming or subtracting the number of units of translation in the value of x. It is, exchanging X by X + a, where a is the number of units you want to translate the graph.

If the aim is to translate to the right, you must subtract, while for translation to the left you need to sum.

In the present case, because it is required to move 2 units to the left, X will be sumed to 2, as follows

\begin{gathered} g(x)=|x+2| \\ \end{gathered}

And from the solution developed above, we are able to conclude that the answer is the second option.
