Express the equation of a line having two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2).

y-y_1=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)(x-x_1)

The points are (2,-4) and (-1,5) implies,

\begin{gathered} y+4=(5+4)/(-1-2)(x-2) \\ y+4=-3(x-2) \\ y+4=-3x+6 \\ y=-3x+2 \end{gathered}

Convert it into standard form ax+by=c implies,

3x+y=2

Therefore, the answer is 3x+y=2.
