We are going to apply transformations on a coordinate plane.
We are given the rule:
![(x,y)\rightarrow(-x,y+4)](https://img.qammunity.org/2023/formulas/mathematics/college/7lv9r6wlkgzr9jryow5b3moj62j4xkafb3.png)
According to this rule, we are going to do two things:
1. Reflect across the y-axis (since we have x to -x, we have a left/right reflection).
2. We will translate 4 units up (y controls the vertical change).
Here is our original graph:
We can now change the points using the rule provided:
![(1,2)\rightarrow(-1,2+4)\rightarrow(-1,6)](https://img.qammunity.org/2023/formulas/mathematics/college/lz3a0jmikzx27wxthuizppvmizznng66wy.png)
![(4,3)\rightarrow(-4,3+4)\rightarrow(-4,7)](https://img.qammunity.org/2023/formulas/mathematics/college/sm1fvfwi9m4pd81j17nlbr1v0j77t0jqbx.png)
![(3,0)\rightarrow(-3,0+4)\rightarrow(-3,4)](https://img.qammunity.org/2023/formulas/mathematics/college/5fddz0iveb700m0aimfq212gelfrdlhhoh.png)
When we graph our new points, we have:
