Find the equation of a line where slope is -1/2 and goes through points (-10, 1)

We need to use two forms of the line:

* The point-slope form is:

y = m(x - h)+ k

* The slope-intercept form is:

y = mx + b

Where m is the slope, b is the y-intercept, and (h, k) is a point of the line.

We are given the slope m = -1/2 and the point (-10, 1). Using the point-slope form:

y=-(1)/(2)(x+10)+1

Operating:

\begin{gathered} y=-(1)/(2)x-5+1 \\ \\ y=-(1)/(2)x-4 \end{gathered}
