1) Since we need a Linear function that passes through point (-1,-1) with a slope of -2

Let's use the slope-intercept formula y=mx+b an plug the slope and point (-1,-1)

to find the linear coefficient (b)

y =mx +b

-1=-2(-1) +b

-1=2+b

-1-2=b

b=-3

2) Therefore we can write our function as

y= -2x -3
