Given:

The measure of the central angle O = 10

And the area of the circle = 20 square inches

We will find the area of the sector subtended by ∠O using the ratio and the proportional as follows:

Area of the circle : Area of the sector

20 A

360° 10°

Using the cross product, we will find the value of A


A=(10*20)/(360)=(5)/(9)\approx0.55555_-

Rounding to the nearest tenth

So, the answer will be Area of the sector = 0.6 square inches
