$\begin{gathered} 5x^2+15\text{ = 60} \\ 5x^2=60-15 \\ 5x^2=45 \\ x^2=(45)/(5) \\ x^2=9 \\ x=\sqrt[]{9\text{ }}=\pm3 \end{gathered}$

x = 3 or -3
