v(x)=12-2x-5x

You can simplify the equation:

v(x)=12-7x

To find the solution in a value of x you substitute the x by the given value:

x=-2

\begin{gathered} v(-2)=12-7(-2) \\ v(-2)=12+14 \\ v(-2)=26 \end{gathered}

x=0

\begin{gathered} v(0)=12-7(0) \\ v(0)=12 \end{gathered}

x=5

\begin{gathered} v(5)=12-7(5) \\ v(5)=12-35 \\ v(5)=-23 \end{gathered}
