To add matrixes, we have to add the terms in the same column and row. As an example, we have to do it as follows:

Row 1, Column 1:

-1+7=6

Row 1, Column 2:

6-11=-5

Row 2, Column 1:

-2+(-3)=-5

Row 2, Column 2:

2-1=1

Row 3, Column 1:

4+9=13

Row 3, Column 2:

9+(-3)=6
