I would say put up a warning sign.

Explanation.
If you used a pesticide on a windy day it’s gonna blow the product around so it might go into the places you wanted it
Having pets around certain pesticides when they are freshly sprayed can be very harmful to an animal.
And typically the recommended dose is correct so there’s no reason to use more
