Speed = distance/time

We would apply the formula which states that

Average speed = total distance covered/total time spent

From the information given,

total distance covetred = 800 + 500 + 1200 = 2500 meters

Total time spent = 1.4 +1.6 +2 = 5 minutes

Average speed = 2500/5 = 500 meters/min
