The difference between the two rational numbers results in a rational number.

A rational number is a number that can be express as a fraction.

Hence the final is FALSE

\begin{gathered} Forexample2.5\text{ is a rational numner = }(5)/(2) \\ 3.1\text{ is a rational number = }(31)/(10) \\ Therefore,\text{ = }(31)/(10)\text{ - }(5)/(2) \\ =\text{ }\frac{31\text{ - 25}}{10} \\ =\text{ }(6)/(10) \end{gathered}

So, the difference between two rational numbers results in a rational number.
