So we have the following pair of sets:


\begin{gathered} P=\mleft\lbrace1,3,6,7,9\mright\rbrace \\ Q=\mleft\lbrace1,2,4,5,6,7,8\mright\rbrace \end{gathered}

And we have to find their intersection. This is a set composed of all the elements that are part of P and Q at the same time i.e. the numbers that appear in both. If you analyze both set's you'll notice that the numbers 1, 6 and 7 appear in both. This means that the intersection between P and Q is given by:


P\cap Q=\mleft\lbrace1,6,7\rbrace\mright?

Then the answer is the fourth option.
