The value of x is 6.2

Here, we want to find the value of x

To do this, we use the theorem of intersecting chords

By this theorem, the products of the two sides of two chords which intersects are the same

Mathematically, we have this as follows;

\begin{gathered} 5\text{ }*\text{ 8 = 6.5 }*\text{ x} \\ \\ 40\text{ = 6.5x} \\ \\ x\text{ = }(40)/(6.5) \\ \\ x\text{ = 6.15 which is approx. 6.2} \end{gathered}
