The line is in slope intercept form, y = mx + b, where

m is the slope

b is the y-intercept

Matching the slope intercept form with the equation of the line given, we ccan definitely see that the slope is -5

We also know that

parallel lines have equal slopes

Hence,

The parallel slope would be the same, it is -5
