Similar Rectangles: Two rectangles are similar when the corresponding adjacent sides have the same ratio

Taking the ratios of the Length to breadth

rectangle 1: rectangle 2

\begin{gathered} (CD)/(AD)\text{ :}(GH)/(EH) \\ \frac{5\operatorname{cm}}{4\operatorname{cm}}\text{ : }\frac{3\operatorname{cm}}{2\operatorname{cm}} \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} (5)/(4)\text{ : }(3)/(2) \\ 1.25\text{ : 1.5} \end{gathered}

The ratio of the sides is 1.25 : 1.5

Since the values are different, the rectangles are not similar
