Given The data :

Time (seconds) = 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15

Distance (meters) = 1.0 , 1.2 , 2.4 , 3.3, 3.7, 11.0, 4.2 , 3.7, 4.8 , 4.5 , 4.9

The number of data = 11

As shown : the outlier is the point of :

time = 10 , distance = 11

the quantities that will change if the outlier point is removed from the data set.

1. mean of time Because : ( the sum will change )

2. mean of distance Because : ( the sum will change )

3.median of time

4. median of distance

6. range of distance

So, 5 quantities will change

At first the calculation with out removing the outlier:

1. mean of time


(5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12+13+14+15)/(11)=10

2. Mean of distance :


(1+1.2+2.4+3.3+3.7+11+4.2+3.7+4.8+4.5+4.9)/(11)=
