P1 = (-6, 0)

P2 = (0,2)

1.- Find the slope (m)

Equation

m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

Substitution

m = (2 - 0) / 0 + 6)

m = 2 / 6

m = 1/3

2.- Find the equation of the line

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Substitution

y - 0 = 1/3 (x + 6)

y = 1/3x + 6/3

y = 1/3x + 2 This is the equation of the line
