Explain how and/or distance to earth affects the gravitational force that a satellite experiences

The gravitational force of atteraction is given as,


F=(GMm)/(r^2)

Here, G is the universal gravitational constant, M is the mass of Earth, m is the mass of satellite and r is the sepration between the center of Earth and satellite.

Hence, as the distance of the satellite from the center of Earth increases, the gravitational force become weaker.
