Determine if the following are solutions to y=5x+1a. (3,14)b. (-1,-4)

Given:-


y=5x+1

To find:-

Which point satisfies the solution.

The first point is (3,14).

Substituting the point. we get,


14\\e5*3+1

The second point is (-1,-4).

Substituting the point. we get,


\begin{gathered} -4=5*-1+1 \\ -4=-5+1 \\ -4=-4 \end{gathered}

So the second point is the required solution.
