A (7, 10)

B (4, 6)

Distance between two points = squared root (y2 - y1)2 + (x2 - x1)2

= squared root (6 - 10)^2 + (4 - 7)^2

= squared root (-4)^2 + (-3)^2

= squared root (16 + 9)

= squared root (25)

= 5

The line measures 5 units
