If the point (x, y) is rotated around the origin by 90 degrees counterclockwise, then its image will be (-y, x)

We just change the sign of y-coordinate and switch the 2 coordinates

From the given figure we can see

The coordinates of point P are (4, 2)

Since the triangle will rotate around the origin by 90 degrees counterclockwise

Then change the sign of the y-coordinate to be -2, and switch x and y coordinates

The image of P is P', then

P' = (-2, 4)

The answers are

P = (4, 2)

P' = (-2, 4)
