In this problem, we have an exponential growth function of the form

y=a(b)^x

where

a is the initial value (value of y when the value of x=0)

looking at the table

For x=0, y=8

that means

a=8

y=8(b)^x

Find out the value of b

For x=1, y=16

substitute

\begin{gathered} 16=8(b)^1 \\ 16=8(b) \\ (16)/(8)=b \\ b=2 \end{gathered}

therefore

the equation is

y=8(2)^x
