social interactions - virtually you could read a list of someones hobbies & interests and find similarities between the two of you without ever speaking. irl you would have to ask them abt these things first. learning - virtually you could use a search engine to find almost any answer you could need but irl you may have to find the answer in a book or ask someone you know for help.
