Step 1: write out the formula for slope

\text{Slope}=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Step2: Identify the point in the diagram

\begin{gathered} (-2,-4)\text{ and (2,2)} \\ x_1=-1,x_2=2,y_1=-4,y_2=2 \end{gathered}

Step3: Substitute the value into the given formula above

\begin{gathered} \text{Slope}=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ =\text{ }(2-(-4))/(2-(-2)) \\ =(2+4)/(2+2) \\ =(6)/(4) \end{gathered}
\text{slope}=(3)/(2)

Hence the slope of the line is 3/2
