Dilations about the origin

If a given point A(x,y) is dilated about the origin with a scale factor of k, the new point A' has coordinates (kx,ky).

We are given the point R(2,6) and the scale factor is k=4, then the coordinates of R' are (4*2,4*6) = (8,24)
