From the problem, we have the equation :


x+4y=-6

Rewrite the equation into slope intercept form y = mx + b


\begin{gathered} x+4y=-6 \\ 4y=-x-6 \\ y=-(1)/(4)x-(3)/(2) \end{gathered}

We need two points to graph the equation :

Let x = -2 :


y=-(1)/(4)(-2)-(3)/(2)=-1

Let x = 2 :


y=-(1)/(4)(2)-(3)/(2)=-2

So the points are (-2, -1) and (2, -2)

Plot the points :
