a line has a slope of 6 and includes the points (-4,w) and (-5,2). what is the value of w?

step 1

Applying the formula to calculate the slope

m=(2-w)/(-5+4)

m=(2-w)/-1

m=w-2

Remember that m=6

so

w-2=6

w=8
