The distance between two points (a,b) and (c,d) is given by the formula,

d=\sqrt[]{(c-a)^2+(d-b)^2}

Here a = -10, b=-7, c=2, d = -7

Hence, the distance is given by

\begin{gathered} d=\sqrt[]{(2+10)^2+(-7+7)^2} \\ =\sqrt[]{12^2} \\ =12 \end{gathered}

Hence the distance is 12.
